What to bring

  • Previous medical reports
  • Scans, imaging and endoscopy reports, if any
  • A list of your current medicines
  • A valid photo ID
  • Someone who can take you home after a test or procedure under sedation

Before any test or procedure, follow the hospital's written instructions exactly - especially for fasting, blood thinners and diabetes medicines - and ask if anything is unclear.

Upper endoscopy and colonoscopy are performed under sedation; your doctor will explain how to prepare and what to expect before the procedure.

Tests, procedures and operations are done at our main hospital - Gujarat Gastro & Vascular Hospital, Opp. Shree Ram Petrol Pump, Anand Mahal Road, Adajan, Surat 395009 - where the endoscopy suite, the operation theatres, the Hybrid Operation Theatre & Cathlab, the ICU and 24×7 emergency care are.

Admission, Rooms and Insurance

If your doctor advises admission, our staff explain the room options, the estimated stay and the paperwork. In brief:

  • Rooms

    General ward, semi-private, private and deluxe rooms at the main hospital in Adajan.

  • Insurance

    Cashless treatment through TPAs (third-party administrators) for insured patients - please bring your insurance card and policy details at admission. Treatment under government health schemes is not available at present.

  • On site

    50 beds, a 9-bed ICU with ventilator support, two operation theatres, CT scan, ultrasound and a pathology laboratory. MRI/MRCP and blood bank services are arranged by referral.

Severe abdominal pain, vomiting blood, black or tarry stools, heavy rectal bleeding, fainting, or a cold, pale or painful limb may need urgent assessment. Do not wait for an online appointment — call the hospital or go to the nearest emergency department.
