Gujarat Gastro & Vascular Hospital wants every patient and family member to be able to use this website, including people who use a screen reader, keyboard, or a phone with a small screen.
1. What we have done
- The whole site is available in English, Hindi and Gujarati from the switcher at the top of every page.
- Every menu, accordion, video selector and form can be operated with a keyboard, with a visible focus outline.
- Headings follow a logical order, images that carry meaning have text descriptions, and links say where they lead.
- Text and background colours meet contrast guidelines; text can be enlarged in the browser without loss of content.
- Animations are reduced or removed for visitors whose device asks for reduced motion.
- Videos never start on their own; the same information is also written on the page.
- The site works on phones, tablets and desktops without horizontal scrolling.
2. Known limitations
- Educational videos do not yet have captions or transcripts. We are working on adding them.
- Maps are embedded from Google Maps; the address and phone numbers are always given in text next to each map.
